Run your first scan

A scan analyzes an authorized Target URL using your plan’s scan depth, a chosen intensity, and an analysis mode, then produces a report you can open from the scan list.

• Your account is ready and you have authorization to test the target.
• You want a first baseline before remediation work.

1. Step 1 — Open New scan

   Go to New scan in the Scan group.

2. Step 2 — Enter the Target URL

   Paste the authorized URL. Prefer a host under a verified domain when your environment enforces verification.

3. Step 3 — Choose depth, intensity, and mode

   Select Scan depth (plan), Scan intensity (Gentle, Standard, or Thorough), and Analysis mode (Optimised analysis or Agent analysis).

4. Step 4 — Confirm authorization and start

   Check the authorization checkbox (and complete any bot check if shown), then click Start scan.

5. Step 5 — Open the report

   Wait until the scan completes, then click View report (or Download report when a file link is ready).

You scan https://staging.example.com with Optimised analysis and Standard intensity, then open View report to read Findings and the Action plan.

• Optimised analysis typically takes about 25–30 minutes; Agent analysis about 45–60 minutes and is labeled Deeper.
• Quota exceeded, distinct FQDN limits, or plan depth restrictions can block a start — check Billing and the error text.
• Always keep Authorized targets only in mind.

• Start scan is blocked.
